At Wavo, we are building the future of inventory financing. For SMEs, inventory is both an opportunity and a constraint: it ties up cash, slows growth and creates risk. Traditional financing solutions are often slow, rigid, and based on historical financials rather than real-time business potential.
We take a different approach. Wavo purchases and finances inventory upfront, with no debt and no personal guarantees. This allows companies to accelerate growth, improve cash flow and focus on scaling their business without financial friction.
We raised €3.5M to accelerate our expansion and roll out our model to more companies. Backed by leading investors and industry experts, our ambition is clear: to become the European reference for integrated inventory financing.
Our tech team currently consists of two full stack engineers and one data engineer, who have laid strong foundations. We are now hiring a third engineer to support the scaling of both the product and the team.
The role
As a Full Stack Engineer at Wavo, you will play a key role in building and evolving our platform. You will work across the entire product, from backend to frontend, with a strong focus on quality, robustness and scalability.
The stack is already in place and the foundations are solid, but there is still a lot to build. This role is designed for a senior profile who enjoys tackling complex business problems, making meaningful technical decisions, and contributing to the evolution of a critical product.
You will work closely with Maxence and PA, as well as in tight collaboration with the Product, Data and Ops teams. The environment is demanding but healthy, with a strong engineering culture and a deep respect for well-crafted work.

Our stack is built around TypeScript end-to-end, with a strong emphasis on robustness and clarity.
- Backend: Node.js, Express, event-sourcing-based persistence model
- Database & infrastructure: PostgreSQL, managed hosting, zero-downtime deployments and scaling
- API: tRPC for strict end-to-end typing between backend and frontend
- Frontend: React, TanStack Query & Router, Vite
What you will do
- Design, develop and evolve full stack features, from backend to frontend
- Work on a product with high business complexity (finance, flows, risk), where reliability and traceability are critical
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical trade-offs
- Write clean, robust and maintainable code with a high level of craftsmanship
- Work closely with Product, Data and Ops teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Continuously improve platform quality, performance and security
- Contribute to the growth of the tech team and the structuring of engineering practices
Profile we are looking for
- 5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer, ideally with TypeScript / Node.js / React or similar technologies
- Strong ability to design robust and scalable architectures
- Comfortable working on complex, business-critical products
- Pragmatic and structured engineering mindset
- High level of autonomy and ownership: able to make decisions and drive them forward
- Enjoys demanding startup environments where individual impact is high
- Interest in finance, data, risk or platform topics is a plus
- Motivation to join an already strong tech team and help it scale
- Based in Lyon or willing to relocate, as we believe in the value of in-person collaboration (3 days per week). 🍻
